Music

The children of John Paul ll enjoy music in many forms throughout the year groups. Music is taught in every class thoughout the year and in all topics. The teaching of music is supported by the expert focus on Mrs. R McCoy from the school of Music.

The School of Music also teach a number of our pupils the violin and African Drumming. This takes place in our school during their school day.

Mrs. C. Lynch is the Music Co-ordinator and has worked with the children of John Paul ll to build a wonderful choir. They perform on many ocasions. In December they have been in the community bringing joy to all the residents and workers in the Care homes in the community.

The children visited Glenalina Nursing Home, Kilwee Nursing Home and Our Lady's Nursing Home.

Thanks to Belfast Bus Company who kindly provided buses for this initiative. They have promised to support us again in 2016.

To all pensioners in nursing homes: we'll be back.
